Yes. snapsails works on any modern desktop browser with full functionality, including invoicing, contracts, media uploads, and project management.

On mobile and tablets, your clients can view and download their galleries with ease, while creators can still manage essentials on the go.

How easy is it to get started?

Very easy. snapsails is designed to be intuitive from the first click. You can create a project, upload media, and send an invoice in just minutes. No learning curve. No complicated setup.

We do not ask for any personal or financial details until they are required. For example, we only request banking information when you are ready to send your first invoice.

Can I try snapsails before subscribing?

Yes. The Free plan includes all features: invoicing, contracts, client galleries, associates, and unlimited projects.

Paid subscriptions expand your available storage, with Pro Plus and Unlimited also adding priority support.

Is customer support available?

Always. Every user has direct access to a private support email answered by real people on our team.

If needed, we’ll jump on a call or a screenshare to walk through solutions together. Pro Plus and Unlimited plans get priority placement for faster responses.

How secure is my media?

Security is at the core of snapsails. All uploaded media is encrypted in storage, and automated thumbnail generation helps protect your intellectual property.

Can I capture new leads with snapsails?

Yes. snapsails includes a creator portal that can be installed directly on your website. Potential clients can use it to reach out, ask questions about sessions, and start a project with you.

It works like built-in lead capture, keeping all inquiries organized inside snapsails so you never miss an opportunity.

How do clients use snapsails?

Clients get a secure project portal where they can view invoices, sign contracts, and download their galleries once they’re paid in full.

They can also favorite images, which is especially useful when a package includes a set number of images, making selections easy for both the client and the photographer.

How can my associate photographers use snapsails?

Your associates can upload media, communicate, and be paid inside snapsails.

And if you’re hired as an associate, you can upload your media into snapsails and invite the lead photographer to download the files, even if they don’t already have an account.

Can clients see the associates I invite?

No. Associates collaborate with you inside the project, but the client experience remains seamless and professional.

Clients only see the finished project you deliver.

Can I cancel my plan anytime?

Yes. You can cancel a paid subscription at any time, and your plan will remain active through the end of your current billing period. Once that period ends, any media stored on the paid plan will be deleted.

The Free plan is always free, and you can continue using snapsails with all features, only with limited storage.

Is snapsails a good fit for agencies?

Yes. snapsails is built to support multi client workflows without turning into a messy pile of logins, folders, and spreadsheets.

Use organizations to group teams, manage permissions, and keep each client’s projects, invoices, and media neatly separated, while still running everything from one place.

Does snapsails support free projects?

Yes. Not every project starts with a paid invoice, and snapsails doesn’t force you into that.

Run spec work, bartering, BOGO sessions, charity projects, or anything else where “payment” is complicated, and still use the full workflow, contracts, portals, communication, galleries, and delivery.

Does snapsails support audio?

Absolutely. snapsails supports audio right alongside images and video, so you can deliver tracks, stems, podcasts, voiceovers, or anything else you need.

Audio files get gallery style previews just like other media, which keeps review and delivery simple for clients (no weird file sharing links or “which version is this” threads).


Can I get tips on projects?

Yes. After a client pays the invoice, snapsails can keep a friendly tip prompt visible in the portal until it’s either tipped or dismissed.

That way gratuity stays easy and optional, without adding friction to checkout.

Can my clients share gallery links with their friends and family?

Yes. Your clients can share their gallery link with friends and family so everyone can view the photos or videos without extra friction.

And if you want, you can turn on purchases and downloads per image, set pricing, and let snapsails handle the checkout flow, so sharing can also turn into extra revenue.

Does snapsails have a referral program?

We sure do. Invite photographers and videographers to snapsails and earn a 10% share of their eligible fees for up to three years after they sign up. No subscriptions required by anyone.

What you earn

You receive 10% of your referral’s eligible snapsails fees during the 36-month window:

  • Subscription payments including the first payment and monthly renewals

  • Invoice and add-on payment fees on your referral’s projects

  • Associate payout fees paid by your referral

You will also receive 5% of the same fees for those invited by your referral, for up to three years.

How it works

  • Get paid from first invoice for a full year. They don't even need a subscription.

Payouts

  • Paid monthly on the last day of the month

  • Minimum twenty dollars in accrued earnings to receive a payout

  • Earnings clear after seven days before they are eligible for payout

  • If a transaction is refunded, the related referral amount is deducted from your current accrued balance
